Field Science Education for Homeschoolers in Olympic National Park

We've designed a program especially for homeschoolers based on our field science education program that thousands of students enjoy each year. Inquiry-based investigation of Olympic National Park's old growth forest inspires a deep understanding of the components and intricate interconnections of forest ecosystems.
Our microscope and skins and skulls laboratories provide opportunities for detailed, hands-on discovery of soils and animal adaptations.Â
Participants will gain an understanding of the need for responsible choices through stewardship lessons that inspire them to take action.
Teambuilding activities are integrated into the learning experience to allow students to make connections not just to the natural world, but to each other as well.
Before the program, we'll share more curriculum concept information with you so that you can incorporate your field science experience into your ongoing curriculum. Our field science education programs are best suited for students age five and up. If you are bringing younger family members, please make sure that you have enough adult supervision for each child during the program. Tuition includes delicious meals in historic Rosemary Inn, lodging in dormitory-style cabins, and all educational experiences.
