The ClinEdSA Clinical Supervision Support Program (CSSP) is providing professional training support for TAFE SA s Workplace Supervisor Skill Set Course . Places are available for staff of any discipline (nursing, allied health and aged care workers) who provide supervision to students or trainees undertaking placements in their workplace. The short course will include nationally accredited units and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will also be discussed.
The five-day short course will include a two-hour orientation session and participants will need to bring their own USB. Register now and learn how to:
Understand the role and responsibilities of a supervisor
Provide clear, concise work skills instructions
Evaluate training sessions and personal performance
Record and gather evidence of skills competency
Establish and develop professional mentoring relationships
Develop, facilitate and evaluate mentoring plans
Apply adult learning principles to on-job training
All registration fees have been funded by ClinEdSA. Travel and accommodation expenses will be available for participants who need to stay overnight. Limited backfill funds can also be provided to organisations, up to the value of $300 per day, for two days total, subject to approval by ClinEdSA. Terms and Conditions:
1. Places for the workshop and backfill contribution would be evenly distributed among organisations.
2. All participants are required to complete the pre and post training evaluations that will be conducted by ClinEdSA. To complete the pre-training survey, please click on or copy and paste this link on your website browser: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CSSP_Courses .
3. All participants require approval from their line managers to participate. ClinEdSA will confirm with your line manager that you have approval to attend.
4. Before they can attend the workshop, all participants need to read materials and complete the activities to be sent by TAFE SA.
5. Any cancellation should be made at the latest by COB th of 18th February 2013 to accommodate those who are waitlisted.
6. To facilitate travel and accommodation reservations, participants are required to provide their after-hours contact details and other pertinent information.
7. Fees apply when travel and accommodation bookings are cancelled. An invoice for the cancellation fees will be sent to the respective organisation if their staff have not notified ClinEdSA before 18 th February 2013 that they will not require their booking.
8. Participants should also notify ClinEdSA of any change in their travel and accommodation reservations by COB of 18 th February 2013.
9. Priority for backfill funds will be given to staff from rural health services, staff who do not have access to professional development leave and staff who would have to cancel services to patients/clients to be released for training.
