Birds of San Luis Obispo: The Coast and the Interior
Saturday, Jan 26 9:00a
Point Reyes National Seashore Association
Point Reyes Station,
CA
Over 450 species of birds have been observed in the varied habitats of San Luis Obispo County. We will begin in Morro Bay State Park to explore salt marsh, and open water in search of loons, ducks, shorebirds, gulls, terns, brown and white pelicans. The adjacent trees, chaparral, hillsides and grasslands are also habitat for a huge variety of land birds. Witnessing the historic nesting Peregrine Falcons dive along the volcanic cliffs of Morro Rock is a tradition for all California birders.
