Sonny Boy

While separated from her husband, Rika rents a room in her house to Waldemar, a black university student 17 years her junior. He has left his upper middle class, educated family in Surinam for a chance to study in Holland. Their interracial romance comes at a high price: Rika loses custody of her four older children. The couple, along with their young son, must overcome the bigotry of the townspeople and the invasion of Holland during WWII. Based on a true story. Dutch w/ English subtitles.
