At Anderson Playground, featuring food, apple sack races, beeswax candle making, honey tasting, and a variety of crafts, including shofar-making for kids (a horn, traditionally blown on Rosh Hashanah). Apples and honey are traditional Rosh Hashanah foods that symbolize the sweetness of the New Year. Sponsored by Shalom Pittsburgh, the outreach arm of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s Young Adult Division.
