Pomerium: Musica Vaticana
Pomerium sings of divine inspiration, Music for the Popes from 1431 to 1570. Hear the heavenly harmonies of Du Fay, Josquin, Festa, and Palestrina that swirled in the Sistine Chapel at the time Michelangelo was painting the ceiling and the altar wall, as well as ceremonial music for the dedication of Florence Cathedral (1436) and music influenced by the Council of Trent (1545-63). Presented in collaboration with Calvary Episcopal Church.
