Eric Clapton with Wallflowers

Thursday, Mar 14, 2013 7:30p
US Airways Center Phoenix, AZ

Among the most acclaimed guitarists of his generation, Eric Clapton has been enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not once but three times: as a solo artist and as a member of Cream and the Yardbirds. He placed second to Jimi Hendrix on Rolling Stone’s recent list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He’ll launch his latest tour in Phoenix, leading a band that features Doyle Bramhall II on second guitar, Steve Jordan on drums and Willie Weeks on bass. The Wallflowers open.

Growing up in the shadow of Bob Dylan would be too much for many, let alone trying to make it in the same field as the legendary troubadour. But Bob's son Jakob Dylan succeeded on his own terms when his band the Wallflowers hit it big with their own brand of roots rock in the 1990s and 2000s....

Best of a lifetime!

Eric Clapton. That says it all. "Wonderful Tonight", "After Midnight", "Lay Down Sally"- oldies but goodies. However, those oldies are not seen as such to even the youth of today. It's almost as if the younger generation doesn't realize how old those songs really are. Eric Clapton's musical talents are by far among the best of all musicians in the history of music.
