Frances Smith Cohen's "Snow Queen"

Choreographer Frances Smith Cohen’s modern-dance telling of this Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale has grown from short filler into an annual tradition that serves as an alternative to the ubiquitous “Nutcracker.” The story is about a young girl’s quest to save her beau from the evil Queen of Winter, who has conquered all the other seasons to cover the whole year in snow.
