Yucca is a "Family Place Library" and presents special programming for parents and childen up to age 5. Storytimes for two- to five-year-olds are held throughout the year. The "Parent/ Child Workshop" (a five week program especially for parents and their children 12 to 36 months of age) is presented each spring and fall. A Parenting Collection is located in the children's area of the library, and includes books, videos, and free pamphlet material on parenting topics.
Yucca's Teen Council offers an opportunity for youth 12 to 18 years of age to become involved in their local library and community. Meetings are held monthly, and special teen programming occurs throughout the year.
To meet the needs of our Hispanic community, Yucca offers English language-learning materials, as well as books, videos, and magazines in the Spanish language.
