A musical celebration of the 375th anniversary of Philadelphia’s Swedish Finnish settlement will be performed by Finnish-American, virtuoso pianist, Marja Kaisla and Finnish soprano, Meri Siirala. The Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia, named for Sweden’s Queen Christina, was settled by Swedish and Finnish immigrants in 1638.
