Open Labs: Penn Museum Ceramics Lab
How often do you get to look down a microscope and observe what ancient pots are made of? Being practically indestructible and made by many ancient cultures, pottery is one of the most abundant artifacts found during archaeological excavations. This lab will demonstrate how conservators use scientific tools to study ceramic artifacts microscopically to gain insight into the people who made them. Limited to high school age students ONLY! Student - $0.00
