Film Night: The Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome

Wednesday, Mar 13 8:00p to Thursday, Mar 14 1:00a
Little Berlin Philadelphia, PA

The Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome is a short 38 minute film by Kenneth Anger, filmed in 1954. The film reflects Anger's deep interest in Thelema, the philosophy of Aleister Crowley and his followers. Oddly enough the erotic writer Anais Nin plays a small role in this art house blast from the past. The film will be screened as part of the Plato's Porno Cave exhibition in March along with Quiet Days in Clichy (based on the novel by Henry Miller, filmed in 1970) and Anais Nin Observed (1974).
