Painting Basics: Still Life & Beyond

In this thoughtful course, you will learn basic foundations and concepts for painting including color theory, composition, color mixing and brushwork. Explore techniques for mixing and applying paint, analyzing value, seeing color, rendering light and shadow, mixing flesh tones, and creating volume while developing a personal and imaginative approach. Emphasis is placed on developing skills and working from life through figure studies, still life, and abstraction.
