Colin Farrell (born May 31, 1976 in Castleknock, Dublin, Ireland) is an actor. He is known primarily for his work on major Hollywood films.
Farrell begin acting in the British TV show "Ballykissangel" in 1998 and made his first major film role in 2000's "Tigerland" as lead character Pvt. Roland Bozz. Farrell's acting credential include "Hart's War" (2001), "Minority Report" and "Phone Booth" (2002), "The Recruit," "Daredevil" and "S.W.A.T." (2003), "Alexander" (2004), "Miami Vice" (2006), and arguably his best performance in 2008's "In Bruges" where he played the role of Ray, a hitman in hiding after a botched hit forces him to hide in Bruges, Belgium. For his work as Ray, Farrell won a Golden Globe® Award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
