Dwayne Douglas Johnson, better known by his ring name The Rock, is an American actor and former professional wrestler. Wrestling under different in-ring names, Johnson gained mainstream fame as a standout in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) from the late 1990s to 2003. Since 2001, he has expanded his movie career, taking on roles in action and comedy films such as The Scorpion King, The Game Plan and The Rundown. While largely retired from the wrestling industry, he still makes occasional in-ring appearances for promotional purposes.

I've been impressed sense the moment I first saw "The Rock" on the silver screen. He has managed to step out of the wrestler persona enough to be viewed as a legitimate actor (imho) and a talented one at that. There are better ones out there, but when you consider where he came from, "The Rock" has done quite well for himself.
