Dulé Hill

Initially a hoofer who understudied the legendary Savion Glover in Broadway's The Tap Dance Kid before tapping alongside him in the Tony-nominated musical Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, Hill hung up his dancing shoes when he joined the cast of The West Wing as the president's aide-cum-surrogate son. Although the handsome player only had a handful of TV guest spots under his belt, his winning turn on Aaron Sorkin's drama showcased his affability, earnestness and intelligence. During his tenure, Hill was nominated for an Emmy (no mean feat considering he was up against three of his better-known costars, Bradley Whitford, Richard Schiff and the late John Spencer, the latter of whom snagged the statuette) as well as four Image nods, and met and married Nicole Lyn, who had a recurring role on the series. He also expanded his repertoire to the big screen, landing supporting roles in a handful of movies (Men of Honor in 2000, Holes in 2003, The Guardian in 2006). In 2006 he switched gears, signing on to the cable comedy Psych as the foil to manic leading man James Roday. But Hill often stole the spotlight with his deadpan line readings and humorous double takes. Off screen, Hill is a capable poker player (even appearing on Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown) and supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. ~ Rovi
