What The Folk Art

Tom Shelton is a self-taught artist who works mainly with found objects. He creates sculptures out of items that he finds at yard sales, thrift stores, and even in the trash. Components he uses include teapots, forks, candlestick holders, and miscellaneous scrap metal. Through sculpture, he transforms inanimate objects into creatures that show human- or animal-like characteristics.
