Malcolm John "Mac" Rebennack, Jr. born November 21, 1940, better known by the stage name Dr. John (also Dr. John Creaux), is an American singer/songwriter, pianist and guitarist whose music combines blues, pop, jazz as well as boogie woogie and rock and roll.

You have to respect that in this day and age. Especially when they put Dr. in their name. Event his background makes his sound awesome. He apparently lost his ring finger on his left hand from a gunshot wound. Thats pretty hard core if ask me. I would see him if only because he sounds like he's got great stories, that I hope he tells in between songs.
