Requested and received an audition at New York's Ridge Theater Company at the age of 11. Wrote for ZuZu, a New York-based children's magazine, as a teenager. Volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and helped to build homes for families in Costa Rica. Said she suffered from nightmares while filming the remake of The Omen .
