Missi Pyle

Worked at the interactive theme restaurant Jekyll and Hyde in New York City, appearing as the Black Widow character. Appeared opposite John Malkovich in the Steppenwolf Theatre's 1996 production of The Libertine. Was cast in her big-screen break as Laliari in Galaxy Quest when the director couldn't find an actress who could mimic the alien characteristics as well as Eric Colantoni and Rainn Wilson. Pyle watched them for a minute and immediately picked it up. Was nominated for an MTV Movie… Show more Award for best fight for her brawl with Queen Latifah in the 2004 comedy  Bringing Down the House. Made her Broadway debut as a replacement in the 2008 revival of the French comedy Boeing-Boeing . Along with actress Shawnee Smith, is part of country duo Smith and Pyle. ~ Rovi
