First getting his start as a member of Raw Produce with Pitch, MC/producer Cadence didn't release his solo work until 2003, when his debut album, Cadence Poisons the Minds of the Children, came out. The following year, Raw Produce's debut full-length, The Feeling of Now, hit shelves (they had previously released only singles, including "Cycles" and "Weight of the World," and a Japanese-only EP, Refrigerator Poetry), as well as Cadence's State Lines, which featured guest rappers rhyming over his beats. The scenario was repeated in 2006, with a collection of Raw Produce B-sides, remixes, and demos, Selling Celery to Get a Salary, and a solo record, Creative Commerce, both seeing release dates that year. ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
