Originally formed as Deuce in 1978 by guitarists Tom Gattis and future Megadeth/Cacophony virtuoso Marty Friedman, Maryland-based heavy metal band Tension (not to be confused with the punk rockers of the same name) had undergone numerous transformations by the time they unveiled their 1986 speed metal debut album, Breaking Point. Featuring Gattis on vocals, guitarist Timmy Meadows, bassist Tim O'Connor, and drummer Billy Giddings, Tension failed to stand out of the thrash metal pack, and Gattis eventually moved onto another project named Wardog, and later Ballistic. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
