Stephen Waarts

Stephen Waarts, currently 13-year-old, is featured violin soloist. In his first appearance with the Silicon Valley Symphony, Stephen mesmerized and astounded our audience on November 15, 2008 playing the Tchaikovsky “Violin Concerto.” (now on YouTube at http://www.siliconvalleysymphony.net/Concerts/Prodigy/Prodigy_YouTube/prodigy_youtube.html) One week after our concert, he made his Carnegie Hall debut. Since then he has appeared with the Kostroma Symphony Orchestra with conductor Pavel Gershtein… Show more conducting at Moscow State University for the “Moscow Meets Friends Festival.” He recently won top prize in the Youth Division of the KDFC Classical Star Search. We have invited him for a return engagement to play the magnificent and fiendishly difficult Brahms “Violin Concerto.” Stephen is destined to become one of the world's greatest violinists.
