De Mens

Featuring well-known frontman Frank Vander Linden, De Mens is a Flemish rock band that debuted in 1992 and hit the Belgian charts with regularity in the years that followed. Comprised of Vander Linden (vocals, guitar), Michel de Coster (bass), and Dirk Jans (drums), the Belgian band made its debut in 1992 with the single "Dit Is Mijn Huis," and the self-titled album De Mens. Subsequent albums include Ik Wil Meer (1994), Wil Je Beroemd Zijn? (1996), Sex Verandert Alles (1999), Liefde (2001), Blond (2003), In Het Gras (2005), and Onder de Duinen (2007). All of the albums spawned singles, and most of the albums reached the Top 50; In Het Gras was most successful, making it to the Top Ten. In 2009 Vander Linden made his solo debut with the single "In de Walszaal" and a self-titled album on the label No Circus. The album was a Top Ten hit. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
