Colin Hay (born June 29, 1953 in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, Scotland) is a musician known primarily as the lead vocalist for band "Men at Work." More recently in his career he's gained notable fame for his solo work. He is married to Cecilia Noël who often performs backing vocals at his shows.
Hay formed Men at Work in 1978 with guitarist Ron Strykert. In 1982 the band released their first album through Columbia Records in the United States called "Business as Usual." It was met with massive critical acclaim, spending #1 on the US Billboard Hot 200 chart for 15 weeks. The album has since been certified 6-time platinum in the U.S. Men at Work released two more albums "Cargo" (certified 3-times platinum) and "Two Hearts" (certified gold). The band disbanded in 1985 but would reform in 1996.
After the initial break up, Hay begin performing solo. To this date, he's released 10 solo albums. And while they have not reached the same success as Men at Work, his work has been met with critical acclaim and he continues to work on both solo and group albums.
