Soulo

The duo of Soulo grab influence from rock and electronica, resulting in minimal sounds that are layered with live guitar, bass, and percussion. Both Shawn King and Nate Flanigan dropped out of art school as soon as they entered, in reaction to the combining of computers and pencils. The two met at the Fireside Bowl in Chicago and bonded over their wanting to abandon the rock sound for something, ironically, a bit more electronic.
