Latin dance-pop outfit Locomia emerged in 1984. Assembled by Javier Font, Gard Paschieer, Manuel Arjona, and Luis Font, the band was based on the glamorous idea of being part of Ibiza's nightlife. In 1987, after touring Italy, Gard Paschieer and Luis Font were replaced by Juan Antonio Fuentes and Carlos Armas. Two years later, Locomia had the opportunity to sign with EMI/Hispavox. They debuted with Taiyo, which featured the hit single "Locomia." After Francesc Picas joined in, Locovox was recorded and released in 1991. The band decided to take a break in 1992, returning in 1999 with a new lineup and teaming up with Alejandro Abat to produce Corazón. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
