Donald Sutherland

Battled polio, rheumatic fever and hepatitis as a child. Was Canada's youngest radio announcer at age 14. Acted in several '60s horror films early in his career. Was the original Hawkeye Pierce in the 1970 film M*A*S*H . Received Genie Award for Best Actor for Threshold (1981). Honors include Officer, Order of Canada; officier, l'Ordre des Artes et des Lettres of France; honorary PhD from St. Mary's University. ~ Rovi
