Bryan Singer

Cast childhood friend Ethan Hawke in Lion's Den,  a short he made after graduating from USC. Founded the production company Bad Hat Harry. His mother, father and stepmother all appeared in Apt Pupil (1998); the film's screenwriter, Brandon Boyce, was the family's paper boy at one time. His first feature, Public Access, won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 1993. Never read comic books as a kid but found success directing X-Men (2000), X2 (2003) and Superman Returns… Show more (2006).
