Vinyl

Vinyl are a minimal techno duo comprised of producers Stefan Goldmann and Strahil Velchev, who also tour individually on an international scale as DJs. A native of Berlin, Germany, who resides part-time in Sofia, Bulgaria, Goldmann began his recording career during the early 2000s in association with the Classic label, which he founded. He subsequently released music on the labels Front Room Recordings, Ovum Recordings, Perlon, Innervisions, and Mule Electronic. Hailing from Sofia, Bulgaria, Velchev began his recording career in the mid-2000s under the moniker KiNK in association with a variety of labels. Goldmann and Velchev's first output as Vinyl was a one-sided 12" release on the Rebelone label, The Weasel (2007). The following year the duo released Nebula Sofia, a 12" single with "The Weasel" on the flip side, on Endless Flight, a Mule Musiq subsidiary label distributed by Kompakt. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
