Titan

Titan is a Brooklyn, NY-based quintet formed in 2005 and featuring vocalist/guitarist Josh Anzano, keyboard player Kris D'Agostino, bassist Steve Moore, and drummer Dave Liebowitz. Their music harks back to the heavy, organ-laced progressive rock with space and psychedelic nuances common to early-‘70s groups like Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Hawkwind, and Pink Fairies, among others. The group's debut album, 2007's riddle-named A Raining Sun of Light and Love, was released by Tee Pee Records and featured four untitled tracks spanning ten minutes each; but Titan would return a more cohesive and fluid (though no less idiosyncratic) unit for 2010's sophomore Sweet Dreams, which in turn was issued by Relapse Records. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
