Michael Wong

A popular singer and performer in Taiwan, Asian pop star Michael Wong was born August 30, 1970 and got his start as one half of the duo Michael & Victor (or Guang Liang Pin Guan, regionally) alongside Victor Wong. That group called it a day in 2000, and Michael embarked on what would be a solidly successful solo career, debuting with the album Michael's First Album in 2001. 2002 would see a quick follow-up in Ray of Light, but his third, Fairy Tale took a bit longer, finally coming out in 2005. Album number four, Commitment, was released in 2006. In 2007, fans of Wong's work had a bumper year as the pop singer released a compilation (Michael 1996-2006) and an album of new material (Never Apart).
