The Lynns carried on one of country music's greatest family traditions -- twin sisters Patsy and Peggy were not only the daughters of Loretta Lynn, but also the nieces of Crystal Gayle. Raised in rural Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, the Lynns were the youngest of Loretta's six children, and made their Grand Ole Opry debut alongside their mother when they were just three weeks old. Initially, fearing charges of nepotism, they appeared under the name the Honk-A-Billies, and quickly earned a strong following on the Nashville club circuit; after signing to Reprise, they began performing as the Lynns, issuing their self-titled debut album in early 1998. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
