Sapo

Formed in the USA during 1974, Sapo revolved around Richard Bean (vocals) and Raul Rekow (bass, percussion), two ex-members of Malo. Jose Simon, Bobby Gaviola, Kincaid Miller and Oscar Estralla completed an act playing a Latin-flavoured rock favoured by the founders’ former band and Santana. Indeed, both Bean and Rekow played with Santana following the break up of Sapo. Bean and Miller also played in the Jorge Santana Band, a rhythmic act established in 1978 by Malo’s founder. ~ Rovi
