Gerard James Butler (born 13 November 1969) is a Scottish actor best known for his portrayal of King Leonidas in 300, The Phantom in the 2004 film version of The Phantom of the Opera, Gerry Kennedy in P.S. I Love You, One Two in RocknRolla, and Mike Chadway in The Ugly Truth. He is now filming The Bounty Hunter, a romantic comedy with Jennifer Aniston.

One of the most versatile actors that's come around in a while, Gerard Butler can do it all. He gave a layered, subtle performance in "Love, Frankie". (That one's worth getting on Netflix cause you'll never catch it otherwise.)
But there's more: in addition to the tremendous acting, he showed amazing musical chops in "Phantom of the Opera". He even made "Timeline" watchable.
