Moped

Philadelphia indie rock trio Moped comprised vocalist/guitarist Bret Tobias, vocalist/drummer Kara Lafty, and bassist Bob Vanstone, and debuted in 1994 with "Squalla," a contribution to the Protein Records compilation EP America Starts Here. After a handful of singles, the group issued their lone LP It Won't Sound Any Better Tomorrow on the Summershine label in 1996; upon completing the 1997 single "Naked, Sharp and Plastic," Moped disbanded, with Lafty going on to form Sonny Sixkiller and Tobias resurfacing in the Bigger Lovers.
