Eric Benet

Eric Benet, born October 15th, 1966, got his big break in 1994 when he signed with Warner Bros. Records and released his solo debut album "True to Myself" in 1996. His first big hit came with his second album, "A Day in the Life", when his song "Spend My Life With You (featuring Tamia)" became a hit, rising to the top of the American R&B charts, went gold, and got him nominated for the 2000 Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group.

Aside from his music Eric Benet has appeared on the television show "For Your Love", in the movie "Glitter" and has a recurring role on the MTV show "Kaya".

Eric Benet was married to actress Halle Barry from 2001-2005 and has one daughter, India, from an earlier marriage.
