Turquoise was a very short-lived multimedia trio, probably emphasizing folk-rock, led by David Bowie. The group also included his then-girlfriend, singer/guitarist/actress Hermione Fatheringale, and guitarist Tony Hill, who had been in the great lost 1960s psychedelic band the Misunderstood. There was only one live performance, on September 14, 1968, at the Round House in London, before Hill left. He was replaced by John "Hutch" Hutchinson, and the trio's name was changed to Feathers, which lasted for a few months with a similar format. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
