David Sanborn

Saxophonist David Sanborn has established himself as one of the most prominent pop players over the last two decades. He has put together a shining resume both as a session player and a band leader, having played with such luminaries as Albert King, Paul Butterfield, Gil Evans, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, and the Brecker Brothers, Tim Berne. In the early nineties he hosted the popular, eclectic, though ultimately short-lived television show Night Music, which brought together musicians from every conceivable genre of music, affording many of them the opportunity to play together.
