Inventive and influential progressive jazz chamber group Oregon was formed in 1970 from the nucleus of the Paul Winter Consort. Originally comprising Ralph Towner, Collin Walcott, Glen Moore, and Paul McCandless, their music explored the boundaries of jazz, using uniquely disparate influences of classical, folk, Indian, and other ethnic music.
