Stephanie Peters grew up in Cambridge, Mass. idolizing local funnymen Lenny Clarke, Jay Leno, Denis Leary and Steven Wright. In 2003, after doing stand-up for only three years, Peters got to share the stage with Clarke and Wright at Denis Leary's annual "Comics Come Home".In the fall of 2002, Peters won the Marshall's "Women In Comedy Festival" where she opened for Caroline Rhea, Kathleen Madigan and Joy Behar (from ABC's "The View") at Symphony Hall in Boston. The comedy show was broadcast on PAX-TV and included hilarious behind-the-scenes interviews with Stephanie and other comics by Joy Behar.Peters outrageous stories and shoot-from-the-hip opinions have made her a favorite with audiences. Her stage presence and out-of-the ordinary looks have also landed her spots in TV commercials throughout New England.
