Lindsay Eure

Lindsay is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. She began her training with a well known chi|dren’s theater troupe, The Hurrah Players, under the direction of Hugh Copeland. This exposure to dancing, acting, singing and performing started her on the road to her chosen profession. She was then accepted into the musical theater department of the Virginia Governor’s School of the Arts. She graduated the program after four years under the mentorship of Chip Gallagher.

During that time she also attended and graduated from Great Bridge High School. In her freshman year of high school, Virginia Musical Theater cast her as Terry Thompson in Babes In Arms- her first lead in a professional production. She continued to perform in professional regional productions at various theaters until she left to pursue her degree at the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music. After obtaining her BFA in Musical Theater she moved to New York City.

Once embarking on her professional career, Lindsay has been blessed to perform at some of the most respected theaters across the oountry, among them the 5,000 seat St. Louis MUNY theater. Lindsay also booked the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Patrick Cassidy, in which she covered the role of the Narrator. During her time on the road, Lindsay performed in every major market. Within twelve months she set foot on over fifty different stages.

In addition to Lindsay's undergraduate training she has had the privilege of studying with masters such as: legends Gwen Verdon, Anne Reiriking, and Ben Vereen; choreographers, Tony Stevens, Chet Walker, and Andy Blankenbeuhler; composer Craig Carnelia; and casting directors Dave Clemmons and Jay Binder.

Always looking to the future, Lindsay is now busy with the creation of several of her own productions. The first of which is a solo engagement titled HIT ME WITH A HOT NOTE! The show will premierJuly 24 & 25, 2009 at the Wells Theatre in Norfolk, Virginia. Lindsay has been a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association since 2004.
