The Larks were a vocal group that started in the late 1920's under Thermon Ruth which started in New York. They were made up of six African American men who were, Thermon Ruth, Allen Bunn, Eugene Mumford, David McNeil, Hadie Rowe Jr., and Raymond "Pee Wee" Barnes. They started recording gospel songs for four different record labels, 17 songs in one day.
