David Mattey

David Mattey spent most of his life acquiring a vast supply of useless information and a big, pretty degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering and Computer Aided Design from Virginia Tech. Several years ago, after a successful run as a design engineer and Director of Engineering for a Stamford, CT-based company, he chucked it all to pursue an acting career.

David is a founding member of the LA-based sketch comedy group Small, Medium, Large, and appeared weekly as one of the original cast members of the NYC comedy troupe Living Room Live. He has trained with Second City/Burn Manhattan and The Groundlings, and has performed sketch comedy, improv, and standup all over Los Angeles and Manhattan, and has appeared in a number of stage productions in New York and LA.

He has had the pleasure of playing criminals, convicts, monsters, demons, and the occasional nice guy on screen, including appearances on the CBS series The District (as carjacker/general ne'er-do-well "Little Biggie"), Charmed on the WB, the USA series Monk, the Comedy Central series Reno 911!, Star Trek: Enterprise on UPN, as Lorne's butt-kicking, hulk-like subconscious on the WB Series Angel, as both the title character and his evil twin in the Troma film Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part IV, on the HBO series Oz and the daytime dramas As The World Turns, One Life To Live, and Another World.

David has worked as a stunt coordinator, fight choreographer and stunt man on stage, TV, and on film, and currently appears as Tiny in the Waterworld stunt show at Universal Studios Hollywood.

He now lives in Hollywood, and is represented on the West Coast commercially by AKA Talent.
