It's not a good thing when your opening band has a better soundman than the headliner. Styx sounded great. Def Leppard was loud and distorted and almost unbearable at times. Def Leppard played a good set but Styx owned the night...

seen em 4 times

I have seen this band 4 times now, and I do not know WHAT was wrong with them in PHX, but they were completely off! It was kinda a bummer cuz they usually are so great! But Joe's voice would not hit those high notes and Rick's usually spar feet and hand just would not hit some of the rifs he is so famous for. Viv is a nice addition, but even he was off. It was just one of those nights. Foreiner was pretty good, but I am sorry to say, Styx had the night, and I am not a HUGE Styx fan. I like em, but they were not who I was there to see! kinda bummed!
