Pete Blackshaw is Executive VP of Strategic Services of Nielsen Online, a company whose technology enables marketing intelligence by tracking, measuring and analyzing word-of-mouth behavior, so-called “consumer-generated media.” He came to Nielsen BuzzMetrics by way of Intelliseek and to Intelliseek as the result of its 2001 merger with PlanetFeedback.com, a consumer Web site he founded in 1999 after a career in interactive marketing and brand management at Procter & Gamble. At P&G, he led initiatives dealing with online advertising development, online issues/rumor management, online sampling and consumer word-of-mouth behavior. Pete is a 2004 co-founder of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA).
