Called "America's Band," the Beach Boys wrote the soundtrack for California youth culture in the Sixties, celebrating all things sunny, surfy, beachy, and speedy. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 on the strength of songs like 'California Girls,' 'I Get Around,'Surfin' USA,' and countless other iconic songs. The 1966 single 'Good Vibrations,' described by producer/musician Brian Wilson as a 'pocket symphony,' is roundly and consistently cited among critics as one of the best rock singles of all time. Rocked by several bitter internal legal battles over the years regarding royalties and rights to the band's name, The Beach Boys Band consists of original singer Mike Love, long-time member Bruce Johnson, plus numerous "honorary Beach Boys" as guest musicians.
