Joaquín Cosio

Character player Joaquín Cosio shot from obscurity to fame in early 2008, when the Mexican actor signed on to play Latin American villain General Medrano in A Quantum of Solace, the 22nd official installment of the James Bond franchise. That role marked the first transnational crossover attention gleaned by Cosio; prior to it, he appeared predominantly in Mexican productions, including the 2004 crime comedy Matando Cabos and the 2008 slice-of-life drama Teo's Journey.
