Chris Bell

Chris Bell (born January 12, 1951 in Memphis, TN) was a singer, songwriter and guitarist. He was one of the main figures,a long with Alex Chilton, in the power pop band "Big Star."

Big Star came about when brought together two side projects he was working with. He'd record one album with Big Star "#1 Record" and contributed some work to their 2nd "Radio City" before completely leaving the band. He recorded one solo album "I am the Cosmos."

Bell died on December 27, 1978 after a fatal one car accident in East Memphis.
