PRESS RELEASE
Family Fun at Slater Mill
Slater Mill offers fun for the whole family.
Pawtucket, RI: Slater Mill, located at 67 Roosevelt Avenue in the heart of Pawtucket, presents its 2009 Free For All Sunday series.
What long running TV game show is the theme at Slater Mill in March? It’s Jeopardy! The 2009 Free For All Sunday series, sponsored by Amica Insurance, begins with a Salute to Jeopardy. Join the fun on March 29th, 11AM-3PM, and take a “Jeopardy” tour, Slater Mill style. During this free tour visitors can test their knowledge of the Industrial Revolution by trying to complete categories such as “Spin Baby Spin”, “Sam I Am” and “A River Runs Through It”.
Interpretive staff will conduct basic tours of the three buildings on site, the Slater Mill, Wilkinson Mill and Sylvanus Brown House, and as visitors tour the site they will be asked if they can give the question to the answer in each category on the board. Information on the board will give visitors a good basic background in a fun and interactive way.
Sponsored by Amica Insurance, the Free For All Sundays at Slater Mill are the last Sunday in the months of March, April, May, June, September, October and November. Each month has a different theme and is a great way for families to have fun together!

When a group of visionary business leaders and preservationists came together in 1921, they had one thing in mind: to save the birth-place of the American Industrial Revolution. To this day, Slater Mill has consistently delivered its mission of preserving, interpreting and sustaining this important site. We draw visitors from every state and from 150 countries, serving approximately 40,000 people each year. A Rhode Island icon, Slater Mill is a powerful engine for tourism, education and community.
